The Plex team has announced the release of Plex 0.8.0, a new version of their media center software for the Mac. New features in this version include an Anamorphic zoom mode, auto-management of subtitles based on your system language setting, animation for the Now Playing screen, and new interaction between your iTunes library and the Plex Media Server. It also includes numerous fixes and what sounds to be a major improvement in CPU utilization. Plex 0.8.0 weighs in at 99.8MB and requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

| No complaints here. My CPU usage seems to be down some and it generally feels faster. |

I have noticed little to no difference in CPU usage between 0.7.15 and 0.8.0. Both hover around 40% at idle. I would be stoked about the new "Now Playing" screen if you have a plasma though.
