Hi all,
I am new to this site. I just upgraded my kids mini's to coreduo's from G4's. I have a G4 1.5 that I was planning to sell but I wanted to know if it could be used as an HTPC for a 1080i HDTV. I know the HD would need an upgrade but is this system powerful enough? It is maxed out with 1GB RAM and has airport. Thanks _________________ nVidia mini 4GB 320Gb - coreduo mini 1.83 2GB 120GB - coreduo mini 1.66 2GB 80GB - core2duo macbook 2GB 250GB - Q6600 quad core PC |

No. It won't do it. Unless you like to see the vids stop and stutter.

| It will work. I have a 1.5 G4 Mini with 1 gig of ram that I use as my HTPC right now. It will not do hi-def but the DVDs I rip with Handbrake in the Apple TV setting work great. It is hooked to a 42" Vizio LCD TV and it works great. When I do try to play hi-def though it does stutter. |
