Has anyone run across a service manual for the 2009 Mac mini? There used to be a website that posted them, but I think Apple took them down. I had one for my Core Duo Mac mini and it was handy having around.

Not unless you have a few spare $$$$$$$ floating around.

For reasons only known to themselves, Apple use lawyers to chase down people who provide online access to Mac repair manuals.

As per this example.

Apple rightfully hold copyright of course...but how dumb of them...

Particularly since Apple don't actually do any repairs (other than under warranty or refurb).

I can't see how it could possibly hurt Apple in anyway. All they would have to do to limit or extinguish liability is put up a preamble agreement that has to be agreed to before any downloading can commence.

Still...if you want to go hunting...

This is a start... It has links to other valuable resources.

I always thought that Apple should just post them on their website. Dell seems to be okay with it. In fact, I was just looking at one (in HTML) for a computer at work. They also offered the same document in PDF form.

I've browsed through it. I can tell you that there is absolutely nothing interesting or useful in it except for maybe the teardown guide, which I believe ifixit has posted a much better one.
