I'm in the market for a Mac Mini. I already have a MB Pro 2.4GHz [Prev. Gen]. My only purpose, like many, is to watch HULU, Netflix, Boxee, and iTunes content on my TV.
I can get a brand new, sealed, OLD Mac Mini 1.83GHz for $375 + tax. Is worth buying the new Mac Mini for $600, when I can get the old 1.83Ghz for $375? |

I'd go for the 1.83Ghz. I just sold mine and was very happy with it. Max out the RAM and it will play 720p and 1080 just fine depending on what player you are using. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I'm trying to sell my original CD Mac mini to upgrade.
Honestly, the new Mac mini should be completely Snow Leopard capable. We don't know if that's true about the older minis with the GMA 950. Plus, you get FW800, 802.11n and support for two displays, as well as a SuperDrive in the base model. I just think you'd be better off putting your hard earned money towards the new Mac mini. That's my opinion. |
