Apple Holding iPhone Event on March 17th

Apple sent out invitations today for a special media event on March 17th. According to the invitations, Apple will be demonstrating the upcoming iPhone OS 3.0 software and giving details about the new SDK. The event will take place at their headquarters in Cupertino at 10:00 AM PST. Copy and paste anyone?

That could help the attendees forget about copy and paste. I mean, if the new software is still lacking in that department. It could also liven up the old event video.

It will probably add support for the new ARM multicore processors that have been "rumoured" to be used in the new iPhone. I just hope it adds MMS.

And possibly background processes being allowed to run?
Apple have already let an MMS app into the App Store, so 'maybe' that's a sign they won't implement it themselves. |

The third party app is pretty craply implemented, the people you send the messages to have to visit a website to view the picture. I also can't see background processes happening with the current gen iPhone as I still get apps crashing sometimes.

How about a Snow Leopard event? I'm anxious to find out more about the new cat.
I wonder if they will announce a new phone or something? Storage bumps on the current model could be a possibility.

Just give me copy & paste and better battery life. Those are my main requests. Everything else will be gravy on the biscuit. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing some new stuff in iTunes. Perhaps something like this.

Copy and Paste, video recording capabilities, and media texts would be great!!
...a mobil version of iWork wouldn't hurt either, even if it means we would have to pay for it (as long as it's not overpriced). |
