Hmmm... I thought that would get your attention 
- particularly with Hackintoshes selling like hot sausages in the land of leather shorts and thigh slappers.
Noooo, I'm not about to start a new Pythonesque rumour, but how many of you have taken a good look at Apple.com's home page recently?
Isn't there anything that strikes you as odd?
Do post your comments before I give away the secret, but I'm afraid I'm not giving away any hotdogs or Hackintoshes for the right answer

Maybe it has something to do with Apple Computer Inc, becoming Apple Inc?
I went to Apple's web page as suggested and there was an ad for the 17inch MacBook Pro.

I don't know why, they seem to have a good mix at the moment even MS are playing copycat.

That gave me some funny visuals!
You are greeted at the door by aging ex-programmers (probably retirees from MS's "Bug fixing" department- Their fingers crippled from too much typing) in blue vests covered in "Flair"...
You really just want to find the "Idiot Bar" to ask some questions...
But you can't see very far over the monotonous line of hulking mammoth pc cases that tower before you like some suburban rendition of Stonehenge...
You ask an employee directions, and he puts you on the phone with "David" in Connecticut who's accent sounds suspiciously more like he's from Calcutta...
...only to be told that you will have to pay $49.95 if you want directions.
You give up and try to leave the store, only to be delayed by 23 minutes while the computer that controls the automatic doors reboots, due to a "movement" error.
After finally exiting, you discover that you have somehow picked up 47 viruses in the brief time you spent in the store.
That's rich! |

Their homepage? As in apple.com? Nothing unusual besides iLife and iWork in big bright colorful letters at the top. But thats usually what they do with now releases.

It's not an American thing, per se. It's because the creator of Linux, Linus Torvalds is Finnish, and he pronounces his name as "Linnus" not "Line-us." Linux bears his name and pronunciation. |
