Mac Mini Concepts Hit the Web
Friday February 18, 2005
Mac mini enthusiasts create two Mac mini concepts. Myopia created a concept dubbed Maxed-Out-Mini. The concept show's such things as a Tuner, Media Reader, USB/Firewire Hub, matching speakers, and more.
Wordman from Asteroid created a concept dubbed Concept for Mac mini A/V dock. The concept suggests "suggests that there may be a market for a “docking station” of sorts that has the same dimensions as a typical audio/video component. The mini could be plugged into this station, then added into the rack of a typical home theater with ease, to act as a media center. It would have the added benefit of allowing the mini to be easily removed from the rack for more portable uses from time to time."
Let us stress neither of these products actually exist.

I like Concept 1 better. The 6-1 card reader and USB hub are cool. Concept 2 would take up to much space. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac-mini

| I like the stackable concept from Myopia as well. I wonder if someone will really make these? |

I hope Apple does. I'd pick up the hub is second and the speakers look cool as well. Why Apple doesn't offer speakers to match their stuff is beyond me. Especially with all the iPod loving audiophiles out there. |

| What good would a tuner do? That's what iTunes is for! |

Heck even if they co-branded speakers with another manufacturer. You're right it's long overdue. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
