I have several of these sitting around:

I bought one of these to install it in:

Comments?

Also:
1) what utilities do you use to test the speed of a drive when booting, etc?
2) if I make this new setup my boot, can I navigate to the old drive so I can get my music, etc off of it? [/url]

Bootup speed is just wall time. If you boot off the external, the internal will show up in finder and be fully functional.

Wow, that was easy. Started before Law and Order, it was done before the show was over. Smile I fear doing a reinstall for XP since that takes FOREVER, OS X has once again impressed me.

Strictly for the sake of comparison, I just ran Xbench with my 1.42GHz. My mini has the Hitachi 7K60 installed. My mini has posted about one point higher with Xbench, but to be fair, I took the lowest score of the batch.

I have a question about boot drives. Can I make a clone of my Mac mini can and use it with other Macs?
