Are there any daily news forums that you guys visit that are actually mature like the members of this site. The teenagers on this site conduct themselves better than most adults.

I've frequented macdailynews for years and to be honest I am sick of the mentality. It seems to be about people who just want to get attention. Trolls, Know it alls (who contribute nothing of value), jokers who aren't funny, sick humor, name callers etc.

If there is something like this site that focuses on daily news, please advise.

I've been on many Forums for both PC & Mac & this is by the far, the Classiest group of Members I have found so far. Everyone on here is very helpful & knowledgeable without being condescending to new users. I have actually made friends on here, which is unusual for forums. I feel like I know everyone. Bobaloo & I have become good friends. We share the same taste in Music and we chat a lot discussing Music & anything Mac. He & Hackersmovie have helped me with numerous problems I had when I first got my first Mac Mini in Feb. 2008. So yes, this IS the best site ever. Thanks to All. Others come to mind, for helping me, are JohnnyBoy & Aquafire. And there are others but I'm drawing a blank right now. Thank you to anyone who helped me that I may have left out. This is a real Community here.

The XLR8YOURMAC forums used to be pretty good. Until a religious nut job shut them down.

I go to Mac Rumours every day. It's great; gives you the info, no beating around the bush. I love it! Very Happy

I'm new to this forum, however I usually frequent the maclife.com forum. The admins and members there keep the content relevant and fresh. Also their are plenty of great discussions going on about recent events etc. Check it out.

The tiny ship of my being : called Aquafire, arrived battered and bruised at the gates of this forum.

Where others would have turned me away...

The members of this forum welcomed me with open arms..

I will be forever grateful for their kindness.

They know who they are....one and all..

Gentlemen & Scholars...

No offence, but sites like Macrumors and Macdailynews sort of annoy me. They are jumbled, immature and no one really listens to each other. I only visit like four Mac sites a day now. 123Macmini, Macupdate, Macworld UK and TUAW. I really don't need anything else.

I spend a lot of time on the Plex Forums. People are pretty helpful over there, and there's lots of other "mac-centric" discussions that aren't specifically focused on Plex. Seems that most Plex users are also mac-mini owners. In fact, I've spied quite a few folks from this forum on the Plex site, some who have kinda dropped off the face of the earth here. It's a little more exciting and fast paced over there because Plex gets updated quite a bit more often than the Mac Mini does.

See ya there!

Apart from searching the web for occasional advice and product reviews, and except for one or two OpenSource discussions (phpBB, etc), have never previously been an active part of any general computer forums.

I feel at home here and part of the family already, even though I get it wrong sometimes.

Two Mac sites I check regularly are MacNN and Macintouch. Both have forums; however I don't participate much in these. I used to be much more active on CubeOwner, but this is forum rather than news. That site has been much less active of late, as owners of Macintosh Cubes either stop using them or sell them. (I still own one and am typing on it right now.)

There's certainly nothing wrong with that. Did you buy it new?

From 2000 through 2003 much of these dictionaries were developed on a Cube.
