It's nice to see that Asus is expanding its product line. This looks like a nice laptop. From the pics it looks very slim and doesn't have an optical drive. Pricing is going to play a major role on this product. Likely it will blow the price of the Macbook Air out of the water.

The more I think of it, the more I get annoyed with Apple.

As regards the small laptop arena, they were way ahead of the pack with the 12" powerbook.

Dropping it in favor of a 13 1/2 inch as well as the Air, was about as idiotic a marketing decision as they could have made. They effecively split their share of the market, while eventually dropping the ball.

Now they have to play catch up...

I'm not crazy about some of these new netbooks coming out of Asus. I'm strictly talking from a design standpoint. I think they should keep refining the original style of the 1000H and evolve from here. I think my 1000H is a really classy looking product. The build quality is also extraordinary. I just think some of these new models look a little cheapish with the shiny LCD bezels and printed/graphic designs on the body plastic.
