Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.4 Released

Apple has released Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.4 via its Software Update utility and on the Web for download. According to the company, this update extends RAW file compatibility for Aperture 2 and iPhoto 08 for the following cameras: Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon PowerShot G10, Pentax K2000/K-m, Leaf AFi-II 6, Leaf AFi-II 7, Leaf Aptus-II 6, Leaf Aptus-II 7 and Leica M8.2. It also addresses issues related to specific cameras and overall stability. Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 2.4 weighs in at 3.79MB and requires Mac OS X 10.4.11 or Mac OS X 10.5.3 or later.

| It's cool that Apple releases these updates for new cameras and stuff, but can't they do it without requiring a restart. |

I don't care much about RAW, but I think 10.5.6 sped up transfers with my Nikon point-and-shoot into iPhoto. Has anyone else noticed this? It could just be in my head.  |
