No, there's really no way to. The RAM is a module that is simple to replace. The video ram(VRAM) is soldered to the motherboard. I mean, you *could* replace it, if you are a solder ninja and electircal engineer, but it's virtually impossible. A definate no-can-do.

It's been a real issue for discussion on this forum as well as many others. Everyone is hoping in newr revisions of the mini the VRAM will be upgraded. For now, we are stuck with the 32MB.

Hope that helps.

im a computer tech so i know its simple to replace it in a mac or pc. The ram on the xbox is built on like the mac mini's video ram. people upgrade it 128mb on the xbox. i was thinking we could do the same with the mini's video ram.

Do you have a link or more information on how this is done for the Xbox?

xbox mother boards had "empty" spots for more ram so they just order the exact memory as the xbox came with(you can order chips) and install in on the mother board. the reason they cant upgrade the v1.6 xbox is the mother board has no "empty" spots to put the ram. i dont have a mini my self but we would need to find what ram chip ATi usese on the 9200 64?, 128?, 256?(i dont know what sizes they make) and install (solder) the chip and probly flash the bios to a 64,128,256 card bios(maybe)... in thory

That's the CPU not the GPU. Anyone can overclock their Mac mini if they want to mess around with those tiny jumpers.

Soldering a chip into an available location on the xbox is a bit different than removing and replacing VRAM. Adding-on vs replacing. Someone may provide a solution. But I doubt it.

Don't hold your breath. The graphics system is not unlike that used in Apple laptops, and I've never seen or heard of any hacks or legitimate upgrades for their video.
