Does anyone know how much faster downloading is than uploading?
Is downloading 5 times quicker than uploading? Or is the ratio more like 10:1? _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Here in the U.S. every ISP caps it or throttles it differently. Mine is controlled by my ISP at 7meg's down and one up. You can get lines that have both the same down and up speed but they are business orientated and very costly here. _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

Upload is usually much lower than download speed, they don't want you running a server.
I think virgins upload speeds are :-
256kbps if your on 2Mbps service.
512kbps if your on 10Mbps service
768kbps if your on 20Mbps service
they are also part of the traffic management policy so if you upload too much you get capped and your speed reduces. I think it’s a 50% reduction on the 2Mbps service and a 75% reduction on the others. _________________ Phil

Lord Lummy! So if I upgrade to the 10Mbps service, the download speed multiplies by 5, but the upload speed only multiplies by 2!
Those Virgin Media rascals... _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b
