Hi, i have the Apple DVI to Video Adapter connected to my Philips 36" TV (CRT).

The TV picture 'twitches' at regular intervals (2-3 per second). The twitch is to the right and the top of the display is more disrupted than the bottom.

this happens with both s-video and composite outputs. the display is fine on a monitor.

Help!

Try downloading DisplayConfigX and play around with the refresh rates. Maybe something higher will stop the flicker. What resolution are you running at?

I have downloaded this and installed. I am a little scared i might do some damage with it. Do you know of any good tutorials on using it?

I don't off hand. I'll look around.

Have you tried lowering your resolution to 800 X 600 or some of the other resolutions shown in Displays? What refresh rates are showing up in Displays?

Changing the res to 800x600(ish) and moving over to 60hz (NTSC) stopped the flickering/twitching, which is great - thanks!

So my next question is why?

Also, the TV image appears to be less sharp now - how can i adjust my setting using DisplayConfigX to move back to 1024x768 (isnt this the native res of a tv?) in PAL?

Do you know what the refresh rate was when you were running 1024x768 before? You can really play around with the refresh rate. I just wouldn't go over 85.
