| I'm just wondering if anyone here has built a Mini ITX-based system? I'm thinking about building one myself. I would like to go with a motherboard from either ASUS or Intel supporting Core i3 or i5, not Atom. Then I need a case for like under $75. Anyways, feel free to share your build information. |

I've not built a personal system but have helped others as I have worked with ITX a bit when it was mostly VIA. The biggest thing you can do is really screw up and buy a case with a PSU that won't put out enough power. If you are going to use low power chips and 2.5" drives with no optical drive you could possibly get down to 150W and be fine, otherwise stick to 200W+, especially if you want an optical drive. Tom's Hardware reviewed 5 Mini-ITX cases.
