I really like the overhead ceiling background. Is that going to come standard with Snow Leopard.
I like the looks, just not the glossy screen. I bet the technical specs are going to be sick. And what about the trackpad? It doesn't look to have mouse button. |

| It looks like the days of matte displays are over with Apple. I wonder if the new 24" Cinema will be glossy as well? It's rumored to be coming out today for $899. |

| I really, I mean REALLY, hope that there are options for a non-glossy screen on these. I have never met a graphic designer that even remotely cared for the glossy screen. Surely, they don't have their heads so far up their *sses that they would ostracize the graphic design community, who have long been the first adapters to Mac. I myself can deal with it, because I will likely do my design work on my mini, but my wife is going to use hers as her primary computer, hooked up to a second display of course. If there is no non-glossy option, she is going to be PISSED! |

I love the new designs - but the prices are a bummer.
Apple has top notch hardware design. And overall, I enjoy using OS X - much more than Microsoft Windows (XP). But with two kids and a mortgage, all I can afford to do is window shop online - with the exception of a refurbished mini, their prices are out of reach for me.
Many Canadians like myself suffer from apple envy - but at least we live within our means. |

I really thought the new Cinema displays would be cheaper when they finally came out. It sounds like they might be scrapping the 20" model and just replacing the 23" model with a 24" model and keeping the price the same. |

I think they should have lowered the price on the MacBook also. Bummer... _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV
