I just saw on macslash.org the mac doom 3 demo is out, i'm at work so i can't try it out, but would be interesting to see how badly or if it runs at all on the mac mini.

It wont play. It needs 64mb of videoram at least.

| Doom 3 does run on a Mini, the minimum requirements are a guide, not law. That being said, I have all the video settings in Doom 3 at minimum and it still gets laggy when there's a lot of action, even in single-player mode. I wouldn't multiplayer, as this could definitely work against you. Now, as the 64MB vid-card Mini's become available, and perhaps with a 7,200rpm hard drive, it should run better. |

| I take it back. was playing Doom 3 online jsut now, and it's not all that bad. Of course, there's almost no one on the servers, but given half a dozen people or less it was actually not as choppy as you'd think. Not as smooth as Halo, but definitely playable. |
