I just saw on macslash.org the mac doom 3 demo is out, i'm at work so i can't try it out, but would be interesting to see how badly or if it runs at all on the mac mini. _________________ G4 Mini 1.42 Ghz

It wont play. It needs 64mb of videoram at least. _________________ 1.6 Ghz iMac G5 1.25Gb Ram

| Doom 3 does run on a Mini, the minimum requirements are a guide, not law. That being said, I have all the video settings in Doom 3 at minimum and it still gets laggy when there's a lot of action, even in single-player mode. I wouldn't multiplayer, as this could definitely work against you. Now, as the 64MB vid-card Mini's become available, and perhaps with a 7,200rpm hard drive, it should run better. |

| I take it back. was playing Doom 3 online jsut now, and it's not all that bad. Of course, there's almost no one on the servers, but given half a dozen people or less it was actually not as choppy as you'd think. Not as smooth as Halo, but definitely playable. |
