Maybe not drunk, but definitely tipsy.
I remember commenting about these before. They look nice, but I was under the impression they were coming with 3.5" drives. |

Apple is/was way to busy to put the iPhone 3G and Mobile me in the market. A new Mac mini is not hot at the moment, i.e. does not SELL BIG BUCKS and since Apple is a COMMERCIAL BUSINESS it is thinking of MAKING MONEY more than pleasing their existing customers, which are hooked on OS X anyway... _________________ ___________________Jim©

I think Apple is way more interested in moving people towards expensive systems that have higher profit margins. I just hate that greedy attitude. In fact, it's the thing that I hate most about Apple. Personally, I wish they would start delivering value and more build-to-order options. The latter would go a long way towards giving us choice. Especially when the lineup only consists of six systems. |

O.T.O.H. if Apple was not a company like they are, they would probably not be such an outstanding computer design and development firm and so special. As soon as there would be a Linux JUST as versatile and easy as Apple (and there are NOT! because the distro community is splintered into many, many fractions) I'd go and change one more time... (had 95/98/XP Windows and many, many Linux distro's) _________________ ___________________Jim©

...but that doesn't make much sense from either a financial or strategic standpoint. It would cost them much more per system, in order to gain a very small increase in sales, while diluting their brand message...
I think we all have to agree there is a reason that we might want more from Apple - it's because we like what they've given us already. If we didn't, then we wouldn't bother complaining. _________________ MacMini 2GHz C2D 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD| Panasonic TH-37PX60U | iPhone 3G 16GB

Agreed. We also live in world flooded with Mac rumors. The lines are blurred between made up crap that sounds really cool and what Apple can actually deliver. That can make Apple seem like they are moving slow. But in reality, many of their products are way ahead of the competition. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

The pictures aren't doing much for me, but it might look better in person. I do like how it stands vertically. That might be a good idea for the next Mac mini or whatever. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

The Mac mini takes no space at all if you install it under your desk. _________________ Mac mini 2010 (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz/8 GiB)

Oh I know--what I think is even wilder is people who mount their Mini on the back of their monitors--now *that's* saving space |

But then you can't easily access the optical drive nor the infrared port for the remote. _________________ Mac mini 2010 (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz/8 GiB)

I don't know what you guys are talking about.
This is of course the only way to display a Mac Mini. _________________ MacMini 2GHz C2D 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD| Panasonic TH-37PX60U | iPhone 3G 16GB
