Apple Releases 2.0 Software for iPhone and iPod Touch

Apple has officially released the iPhone 2.0 Software Update for the iPhone and iPod touch. The new software includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and runs hundreds of third party applications available through the new App Store in iTunes 7.7. It also includes enterprise support, contact search, complete iWork and MS Office document viewing support, the ability to delete or move emails in bulk, saving images from emails, a scientific calculator, parental controls and support for 16 additional languages. The free update is available through iTunes 7.7 for all iPhone users. The price for iPod touch users is $9.95.

Yeah, I've done the download and it installed the software on my iPhone but, now it's been hanging at "Accessing iTunes Store" for about 15 minutes. The really crappy thing is my iPhone is useless right now. It's showing the screen it did before I activated it! This is not good. I use my iPhone for my business and have to get going here shortly. . .

It's absolutely the update hanging. If I eject the iPhone and click "iTunes Store" from the left menu it goes right to the iTunes Store. Once I redock my iPhone it hangs up "Accessing iTunes Store. . . " I can't even get the summary screen for my iPhone to restore it back to the old software. It's been 50 minutes so far and I don't have too much longer to wait.
Apple needs to get their shit together on these updates.

Now I just plugged my touch back in and it says that my software is the current version (1.1.4). WTF?

It finally went through. I think I'm in the home stretch now. Almost 2 hours is nutz for an update. BTW, it wiped my iPhone completely clean to do the update, it's now resyncing all my music and videos so, it's going to take even longer. At least the update is done and it seems to be usable again.
