|I have a 1.25GHz Mini with a Superdrive that I ordered the day they were announced. Recently I've noticed that the drive will not 'suck' discs in when I insert them. I've not dared try it, but it looks like I could push the disc in the whole way without it noticing them.
The last time this happened I rebooted and it worked again, but after a reboot for something else yesterday I tried putting a CD-R that I wanted to burn in and it wouldn't accept it.
This has happened with rented DVDs and with a CD-R from a batch that has worked previously.
The Apple discussion boards have one mention of this, but it was a permanent non-suckage , mine seems to be intermittent.
Update: Now it won't take discs at all. System Profiler doesn't even think there's a CD/DVD drive present! I've just ordered a 160GB minimate HDD so I can back it up before the inevitable return to Apple for servicing
