Long time .Mac user. Some of you may already know how much I LOVE .Mac and all the syncing/storage/email features it has. Now it's going to be doubled in storage again to 20GB! Nice! When I started my .Mac service it was $99 and only 1GB of storage, then a "free" upgrade to 10GB now in July it's going to 20GB. Something many may overlook it your data transfer limits are upgraded too! This comes in handy if your have a iWeb website that gets a lot of traffic. I host 4 websites with 2 different .Mac accounts (yep, I got 2!)
So on top of:
bookmark syncing
email syncing
widget syncing
dock item syncing
address book syncing
web galleries
iDisk storage
email service with up to 5 alias's
off line iDisk usage
keychain syncing
group websites
group email
iWeb website hosting
Ebay picture hosting (using iSale4)
AND. . .Back to My Mac! Remote access to your home Mac from anywhere!!!!
remotely able to use/access all of the above. . .
I use the crap out of .Mac. For someone not using all the features they provide I can see how it may not be cost effective. For someone like me that uses darn near everything it offers, it's a bargain.
I can't wait for the new MobileMe update. . . _________________ Automotive Digital Marketing

| I'm sold, but how cool would it be if MobileMe also pushed a limited amount of your iTunes content. That would be a fantastic addition down the road. |

Rosco -
When you go directly to www.apple.com/dotmac click on the "Log In To .Mac" link in the upper right-hand corner. You'll be taken to a split screen - on the left you can log in, and on the right there is the option to sign up for a trial membership.
Best,

Thanks! Why didn't I think to click on 'log in' to sign up for a trial? _________________ G4 Mini 1.42Ghz 2.4Ghz 24" iMac |

I've been looking more closely at mobileme since watching the WWDC keynote. The PUSH calendar looks like it would make my calendar management so much easier.
.Mac syncing didn't work correctly for me and I frequently had appointments missing from one of my calendars.
As a work around I created separate calendars on my iMac and MBP. My MBP has my work appointments and university diary and my iMac has personal & home stuff on.
I publish each devices calendars, allowing the iMac to subscribe to the MBP calendar and vice versa.
I sometimes have to enter a calendar appointment on the wrong machine, but I know it will at least show up on both devices and when it does I make a copy and put it on the correct calendar and manually delete the wrongly entered one when I see I have two entries showing up. It’s a fudge but it works pretty well.
Push calendar looks like it will fix this work around and finally allow me to have all my machines looking at the same calendar, with even having to think about it, and with the web tools you also get access to a decent looking online version as well.
My .Mac renewal isn't until October so at least I will have a few months to play with it before deciding to buy it again. _________________ Phil

It looks like Amazon jacked up their price a couple of bucks now. |

The interface looks very nice. I will enjoy using the e-mail functions at work on my Windows PC and then having everything sync to my mac at home.
