The newer encoded wmv's will play with WMP 9 on my mini but they eat up major amounts of CPU time............Slowing everything else down.
I found some software on the PC side that lets me convert them to quick time format, but the quality is horrible unless I DV encoding, in which case a 40mb file winds up 2gb in size.
Can anyone here recommend a relativity inexpensive (or free) program that will let me convert wmv video files to quick time or mpg, but keep decent quality with a manageable file size? Something cross platform would be wonderful, as my PC is a 3.0 GHz P4. |
