I know! I saw Beck playing tonight on that 25th anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert on HBO. He was playing so freaking good. I would love to them together. I've seen Clapton a few times too, but it's been a while for him as well. |

I have to take my son to this one. I seen Beck at Irving Plaza a few months ago. Seen them both a few times.
Was Tal Wilkenfield playing Bass with Beck? She's Good! Seen Beck with SRV.
Beck, Clapton & Page at the ARMS concert for Ronnie Lane.
All three guitar players from the Yardbirds on the same stage doing Stairway To Heaven, that was Awesome!
I have a great DVD of Winwood & Clapton LMK! _________________ iMac 3.06ghz 27" 4gb ram C2D 1TB/LaCie d2 1T

I've only seen Clapton with Cream, but I saw all of the early Jeff Beck groups up to when he played with Jan Hammer. Jeff Beck has always been my favorite guitar player, (not because we share the same surname.... but... ). If you can find a copy of Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's, it's great! Special guests include Eric Clapton and Joss Stone.
The blue Squire looks nice, has that '60s surf look... I'm partial to the white Strats as well, (Jimi.)
Good luck with it. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

I saw the 25th anniversary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert on HBO West last night. Caught Jeff Beck with Sting (he could give an aspirin a headache)
Buddy Guy was Great & Billy Gibbons He was close friends with Jimi, good song.
Im not a fan of the Hall of fame.. Madonna, Run D.M.C, Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Michael Jackson is not ROCK!
They bent the rules for Pink Floyd but wont let in Rush, yes, ELP & Genesis (Peter Gabriel) It should be the Music Hall of Fame, JMO
"If you can find a copy of Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's, it's great!"
I have copies of that also if anyone wants one LMK
The only person i seen come close to blow Beck off the stage was SRV & i Seen Santana with Beck also.
Another great show was Stevie Ray Vaughan - Live at the El Mocambo
Have copies
I remember the 1st time i seen Stevie, he just left David Bowie Texas Flood just came out, he played the whole album then played Hendrix songs the rest of the show. Think it was the Bottom Line, next day the NY Post's review said it was the best original guitar work since Clapton in 64
I have a Mac mini & LaCie mini HTPC full of great classic rock concerts. _________________ iMac 3.06ghz 27" 4gb ram C2D 1TB/LaCie d2 1T

I don't have the Live at the El Macombo, I do have the Austin City live. Stevie was the best. When he did Change It on SNL with Jimmy on rhythm, it was awesome.
If we can work it out, I'd like a copy. _________________ 2.5 GHZ i5 Mac Minu 8Gb Ram

Jeff Beck is awesome. I wouldn't mind staring at Tal Wilkenfeld for two hours either. I think she is hot! I wouldn't mind jamming with her for a while. _________________ 1.66GHz, 1.83GHz and 2.0GHz Mac minis

OK, I just have to give Musiciansfriend a plug. I ordered a Dean Vendetta starter pack for my son a couple weeks ago. They were sold out of the red ones, but they were expecting a shipment today, Dec. 9. My 10-year-old absolutely has to have a red one and its for Christmas, so I really wanted to get him what he wanted.
I logged on today and discovered that the shipment has been pushed out to Dec. 23rd. Well, that’s no good for Christmas so I gave them a call. Sure enough, I’m screwed with the Dean. I had looked at the Dean, Fender, and Epiphones at a local music store and really wasn’t interested in the poor quality on Fender and Epiphone. So we started looking through the available starter packs and came across the Yamaha Gigmaker. Good reviews and they have red in stock. I made some comment about the difference in price ($259.99 vs. $189) and the salesgirl put me on hold while she went and talked to her supervisor. They knocked $50 off the price! Awesome, just awesome. Christmas is saved!! _________________ ____________

They kinda screwed me on a price match one time, but I really like MF. Their customer service team is pretty knowledgeable. They also do well on pricing. I also enjoy getting those catalogs every couple weeks. They make for fantastic bathroom reading material. |

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Squire Jazz bass, but knowing how my wife would react if my collection grows anymore, I am holding out a bit.

Good one about the fishing gear Tales!
I tried explaining to my wife one time that guitars and like Gremlins. You can't feed, play or get them wet after midnight...
Oh lord, I'm so bad that way. I could buy a new guitar every couple months. |
