I've looked through the topics in this section of the forum and didn't find any similar one, so I think I should put this in a new topic.

This is a file sharing problem.

The Hardware:
Four piece of hardware are envolved in my problem.
A PC running Windows XP SP2.
A Macbook (Core Due) running Leopard 10.5.2
A MacMini(G4) running Leopard 10.5.2.
A Linksys WRT54G wireless router.
All with up to date software.

The Connection:
The router is connected to the ADSL modem for internet with a cable.
The PC is connected to the router with cable.
The Macbook is connected to the router with wireless 802.11g.
The Mac Mini is connected to the router with wireless 802.11g.

The Softwre Setup:
The PC has file sharing turned on and the workgroup is "workgroups".
The Macbook and Mac Mini have identical setup (except the ip address) which is:
File sharing and screen sharing are turned on for every user.
The workgroup is is "workgroups".

The Current Status:
All of these three computer can access internet without a problem.
The Macbook can see both the PC and the Macmini. It also can access all the files on both of them.
The Macbook can remote control the MacMini with screen sharing.
The MacMini can see the Macbook and access all shared files on it.
The PC can see the Macbook in 'Network Place', and access file that is shared on the Macbook.
The PC can ping the Mac Mini correctly.
The PC can remote control the MacMini with UltraVNC.

The Problem:
I didn't go for too much details into the settings because from the status I described you could probabily see that:
All basic setup should be fine.
Internet access is fine.
File sharing between the Macbook and the Mac Mini is fine.
File sharing between the Macbook and the PC is fine.

The only problem I got here is file sharing between the Mac Mini and the PC.
The PC couldn't see the Mac Mini in its 'Network Place' and the Mac Mini couldn't see the PC as a Server.

All of this is happening when the Mac Mini and the Macbook have identical settings.

So anyone have any opinion?

Many Thanks.

Out of curiosity, have you tried changing the workgroup name? This would be under the WINS panel in Leopard.

Yes, I've done that and I think that is why the Macbook can be seen on the PC. The Mac Mini have the same setup, but with no luck.

And you have SMB turned on too? Confused

Try going into System Preferences > Network on the Mac mini and create a new location from the drop down. Then go back into AirPort settings and check the workgroup name again.
