So, I have a new wired network, that I thought was better. I have to have the wireless on for printing. Does the Mac know which connection to use? Can I set one for higher priority? I get a sense that there's something "wonky" going on. I can always print with no problems, however, it seems to be jumping between the two connections. (wired & wireless) Can this be possible?

Leopard searches each interface for the resource you're looking for based on the "Set Service Order" menu in the Network System Preference.
Once in there, you can change the priority/order of the interfaces.
As to your issues, if all your devices are on the same subnet, it shouldn't matter if you're connected wired or wirelessly. I have two wireless print adapters on my network and it doesn't matter if I'm wired or wireless.

o.k., I changed the order, it was out of wack. However, if I try to print without Airport turned on and connected to my AE, it will try to print, the printer will print about 25% of the page and stall.
Should my iMac be able to print with the AE without being connected to it wirelessly? I'm gonna check my AE settings, there may be an "enable so and so on ethernet" or something. . .
If not, no worries, I'll just leave the wireless on and keep it connected to the AE for printing. . .

I have never been to the "set service order" menu. Thanks for the heads up. I'm sure the problem will arise as this nasty mac addiction continues it course in my life.
