I'm think of picking up the Samsung LE32R87BD and it has received many favorable reviews including best budget LCD of the year from What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision. Just wondering if any has any first hand experience of it and if you could recommend it?

I have the Samsung 32inch R8 (LA32R81BDX), which I believe is the same but with an Australian model number.

It is a nice tv, great contrast and vibrant colour, easy to use. The best it is light at close to 10kg it is able to be hooked up to most arm brackets.

I liked it so much I almost bought a second one but the store had a 42" Hitachi plasma on special at the same price.

I have not hooked the mini up to it, so I don't know how that goes. I would suggest you do that before buying, you need to ensure you can get a resolution from the mini to match.

Cool cheers for the info. I won't be using it with my mac just cable TV, Xbox 360 and PS3. Do you have any experience of it running with any consoles? If so how is it? Any ghosting?

No, I have only hooked up a DVD player and all appears to be fine.

I have the older LE32R41B which has a slower response time and it has been fine for all my Xbox360 needs. I also have a mini connected as a HTPC and that is great too.
