I'm really pumped up for the announcement of the new iPhone, I'll be picking one up as soon as its available. Is any one else planning on getting one? _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

If there's a new iPhone, I'm going to be in the market for two, but probably near the end of the summer. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I would need the contract fees to be lowered to attract me. I cannot justify £35/month for my usage, so I won't be tempted. _________________ Phil

I think with the iPhone having gone out of stock a couple of weeks ago, an announcement is a given at WWDC, even if availability isn't immediate. _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

So do I However, I'm always Mr. Anti-Rumor, so I always like to preface my stuff with conditionals. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I have to say it comes down to the contacts and the price. I live in Canada so I'm not sure what Rogers is going to offer yet.
p.s. I second your condition CC. This is still all speculation until it hits the shelves. |

I'm gonna go for the cheapest £35 a month contract along with the smallest capacity phone. 8GB is plenty for me as I have my trusty 80GB iPod to house all my music. I literally cannot wait for this thing to be released! _________________ MacBook 1.83Ghz C2D, 2GB Ram, 160GB 7200rpm HDD, OS X 10.6.5

As cool as the gadget is I will pass until any one of the following happens:
1. The contract cost becomes more reasonable.
2. I can use any mobile carrier without modification.
3. It makes me breakfast.
My guess is that these won't happen any time soon....sigh. |

I've been thinking between the new iPhone and the Sony Ericcson X1 Xperia (comes out in the fall); but so far I'm really leaning towards the new iPhone cause I love my current iPhone.
...so, yeah, I think I'll be getting one. |

But that's the true secret announcement, it'll be the iEat and it'll make more than just breakfast, try lunch AND dinner as well . _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I'm one of those poor Mac users, so, uh, no - not paying that much for a cell phone. _________________ Mac Mini - Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz; 2GB DDR2 RAM; 120GB HD.

My hope is that it's £269 contract-free, £169 with contract. That would hopefully be a 16GB model...I already have an 8GB touch so I don't know that an 8GB iPhone would feel like a big enough upgrade |

considering the iPhone is a Touch with a phone, I can't see the prices for an iPhone ever being less than Touch.
current prices are £199 for a 8G Touch. so its not going to be less than that. _________________ Phil
