Have you seen the article on 9to5mac about the Brick http://www.9to5mac.com/macbook-brick? It will be quite interesting to see if the Mini will receive it's own brand new aluminium case as well (and very exciting indeed if anything was to happen in 10 days!)

I agree Very Happy
But before we do, let's wait and see what Apple are bringing next tuesday.
And if there's no new Mini by the end of the month, we'll wait until they update their desktops in november.
And if there's no new Mini in november then we'll wait to see if something new comes up at WWDC!
Well, maybe not, hey?

Well folks, it doesn't look like there will be new Minis this Tuesday. This is going to be a notebook event only, so I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens (presumably) next month when the desktops get the attention.
Meanwhile, let's enjoy some new Apple computers (enough with this iPhone buzz) and let's keep the rumors coming!

Well, after absorbing the event and all the discussion after, I come away feeling two things with reguards to our mini. They can be broken down classicaly into the "Good" and "Bad" subgroups.

The Good:
The Nvidia graphics chips would be right at home in our favorite little desktop. They would give the Mini a nice little graphical boost that it sorely needs.

The Bad:
The 24" LED monitor with Mini Display port and MagSafe charger clearly shows that Apple is trying to steer us towards using thier notebooks as a desktop alternative. This would leave little room in the lineup for the Mini.

I'll wait and see how this all pans out. I don't want to count the little guy out yet.

I don't agree with this at all. The current PowerMacs don't support the new 24" monitor either. Why would the new 24" monitor have an iSight camera built in? All the current notebooks that support this monitor already have iSight cameras built in.

Apple will be redesigning its desktop line-up (mini likely included) to support these new displays.

It is time this post re-appeared and may be it will be correct....

So the new mini is rumored for Macworld.

I wonder how many of our predictions will be right?
