I changed my default back to the tiger wallpaper within minutes of installing leopard - much calmer Smile

On my Leopard machine, Tiger wallpaper. On my Tiger machine, Audi R8 photo.

Thanks Kez. You gave me an idea and I discovered this -

Code:

sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow DesktopPicture "/path/to/image.jpg"


or edit /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow.plist with the property list editor and add a new key (below root) "Desktop Picture" of class "string" with a value of "/path/to/image.jpg".

I am indeed, the R8 is a nice car thought, but if i was the one dropping £80,000 i would go for the V8 Vantage over the R8.

I have the stock desktop picture on my iMac, but the rest have custom pictures. I use a Star Wars one on my MacBook Pro and my girlfriend has a picture of us on the desktop of her MacBook.

I'm using Wallpaper from the new Nine Inch Nails release, Ghosts l-lV, if you so desire, it's worth a listen. I downloaded all 36 tracks for $5. Very interesting ambient stuff. With the $5 you also get the extras including the wallpaper.

I'm not using the defaults on any of my machines. Instead, I am using pictures I have taken myself.
