ATI has updated their Displays control app. Displays 4.5.5 adds enhancements and bug fixes for the RADEON 9200. 4.5.5 also adds VERSAVISION display rotation for Mac minis running Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). VERSAVISION allows you to view your desktop the way you want, providing hardware accelerated display rotation and scaling. VERSAVISION features may not be enabled until you restart your system after initially installing the ATI Displays Control Panel. Release notes for ATI Displays 4.5.5 are available from the ATI website. You can download ATI Displays 4.5.5 here.

Do the latest drivers enable the widget drop (ripple) effect?
If the drivers are giving better performance then perhaps Apple will consider a future update to let the OS use the extra speed. |

Nope. You need Core Image for the ripple effect. |
