I was hoping for a smaller case, an IR port and remote for Front Row, and a price cut.

I think you may want to check the Mac mini.

I'm the proud owner of two Mac minis. I was hoping to replace the Intel Mac mini with a Mac Pro, so I can move it to the den for HTPC. The G4 Mac mini is being used as a small web and file server. It's just time for a new desktop Mac.
