Hi,
I have been able to play Duke Nukem and World maps on Systems Tiger and now the new Leopard with my original Duke Mac Atomic 3D disks and the update for OS X.
After playing thousands of maps, I've recently noticed the game (maps) crashes and today, the screen turned the dreaded blue and it was a devil to reboot.
Now, when I boot up Duke Nukem Loadeer, everything needs to be rebuilt but some maps still crash and I am a bit worried.
Any suggestions on why this is happening and what I should do?

Yes.
Duke nukem 3d doesn't like opengl 2x which is what leopard uses to run games several games have had issues some can be fixed.
To fix duke nukem 3d.
Reinstall duke nukem 3d do not install maps.
Other games that have issues.
Alien vs predator 1&2 : one runs excellent however two crashes after the mac play screen.
American mcgees alice: update to the latest universal binary make sure you run the game first before installing the update or you will receive a screen of death. |

Thanks for the tips
When you say don't install maps - do you mean the maps that come on the Atomic CD? or should I say the levels that come on the CD?
My maps that I play are in another folder which I drag to the Loadeer to play?
Thanks! |

Oh no! I've played those to death - I have thousands of maps - are you saying I can't play these anymore? |

| Yep. sorry to say the Mac os x installer for duke nukem 3d was never designed to run hacked maps and if you try you will just end up crashing. |
