I purchased harmon/kardon soundsticks for my mac mini

I can't figure out why the sound won't go up very loud, I'm quite actually very disgusted. Is it because of the size of the mini? I'm about ready to throw the damn out the window "literally". Does anyone have any suggestions?

This may be a dumb question but do you have the sound turned all the way up on the mini? I have a set of Logitech Z5300 speakers and they will knock me out of my chair. They are much more powerful than the HK you are talking about but I wouldn't think that you should be having that problem...

I took my speakers and mac mini back to pioneer place mac store in Portland as I called the number on my receipt. They suggested I bring in my mini in case the problem was in the unit. They plugged in the speakers to mini, and it worked perfectly. They asked me if I turned up the volume all the way, I showed them what I did, they said that's what they did, then someone pointed at one of the speakers and said "did you turn up this volume, he touched the speaker, and magically the volume went up. I looked closer, on the face of the see-through glass speaker, is a "touch" sensitive up or down button. It's not a knob to turn, it's just varily noticeable., it's almost flush with the glass. Of course the directions to the speakers don't mention it anywhere in the book. The don't show it in the book either. The mac attendents said other people have had the same problem, where the speakers aren't loud enough, then find out the same thing, like I did.

Now the speakers work GREAT. VERY NICE SOUND.

Great to hear that you got it worked out Grant. My JBL Creature IIs should be here tomorrow -- I hope I like them...
