Free DivX Pro for the Holidays

The folks over at DivX are giving away free DivX Pro for Mac licenses for a limited time. You just need to provide them with a valid email address to receive a serial number for the software. DivX Pro for Mac is normally priced at $20 and includes the DivX Converter, DivX Pro Codec, DivX Player, and DivX Web Player. It requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later with QuickTime 7 or later. The last special deal like this only lasted for 24 hours, so you better get a move on.

I'd rather keep on making industry-standard H.264 and MPEG-4 files with QuickTime Pro and Handbrake than making hacked .avi files with DivX.

That's the basic trial without entering the serial number they send you. |

Why is it a trick, just because they used the same serial number? It certainly makes it easy for them to know who got it for free, depends what they do with that information.
It's free, be happy. If you don't want it, don't get it. Simple really. |

Awesome in many ways but bad in others.
The divx player doesn't function under Leopard but the plugin's allow divx to be used in other players like quicktime.
So like i said the good and the bad.
But worth the download. |
