Been checking out Eve-online for the past few days.
I'm running the mac version on a macbook 2ghz with 2Gb ram.
First impressions -WOW! the graphics are superb, I never realized the depths of space was so pretty!
Game play is easy enough, it's just a pain to "resource gather" for a week or 2 before you're trained up enough to fly that cheap frigate you bought in some remote outer-lying star cluster...
Pilots have to learn skills in order to use weapons and gadgets and stuff- although you can buy them you just cant use them until you've learnt about them.
Technically it's an absolute nightmare, the latest version is an update but it really does crash it's tits off! Crashing varies from just dropping out of the game to game freezes and complete system freezes.
I run MKConsole and display logs as part of my desktop pattern and the errors just whizz by.
Roll on the next update!
The only other moan would be that you have to pay about €14 a month to play.
Apart from the cash and the crashing it's very not bad _________________ iMac 21.5", Unibody MacBook 13"

Question are you running leopard.
The reason i ask is a lot of people under leopard have experianced the same crashes. |

As it happens... yeah.
I'd be really gutted if I had to downgrade to play -in fact it aint gonna happen, I think I'll setup an external boot drive and have a crack at it... _________________ iMac 21.5", Unibody MacBook 13"
