Boot Camp Beta Ending in December

Apple sent an email to participants of the Boot Camp Beta program today. "We hope you've enjoyed the opportunity to preview an exciting new feature of Mac OS X Leopard. With the introduction of Leopard, the Boot Camp Beta program has ended. The Boot Camp Beta software will expire on December 31, and Apple won't offer further updates of Boot Camp Beta for Mac OS X Tiger," Apple said in the message.
This basically means that support for the beta has ended. In order to install new Boot Camp partitions, you will need to upgrade to Leopard. But don't worry if you're not ready to upgrade. Existing Boot Camp partitions in Tiger will continue to work after the 31st.

Wow how sad. I would think apple would release bootcamp to be used on any mac no matter the os.
Funnier though it doesn't say you cannot turn the time and date back on your system clock and install the beta and install windows.
So i look at it as big deal if they stop producing the beta people will just download it from bittorrent or other sites. |

Yeah, you'll still be able to deal with your partition that way. This is really a non-event for people that already have it installed. But it would've been nice to see Apple keep the download up for people that don't have it running. They really didn't need to make Boot Camp a Leopard thing. |

I don't think Boot Camp is one of the features that people are running out and buying Leopard for. Most people are more interested in running Parallels or Fusion. Therefore, I think it would have been a nice gesture to keep it going for Tiger users.
