|
|
I just got my Apple TV and shockingly enough I'd like to hack it so I can stream DVD's from my File Server.
From reading AwkwardTV it seems that the 1.1 update has made it so you can't enable the hacks.
Is it just that Awkward TV hasn't been updated or am I out of luck?
If it is still viable are there any instructions, in one place, to get everything going again or should I just ignore the sentence in the beginners guide, http://wiki.awkwardtv.org/wiki/Beginner%27s_Guide , and keep going?
Thanks

I've tried for 6hrs straight to get this working from the "Patchstick" method under 1.1. No luck _________________ MacMini 2.0GHz C2D (2009)

I too have spent many hours on this issues with no luck under 1.1 (worked fine in 1.0).
In the end I bought visual hub to encode avi to MP4 (I know). Shame the "out of the box" ATV does work with AVI etc, but then Apple are trying to promote the Apple store; which in the UK as a very limited video content. _________________ Current: 20" iMac 2.4GHZ 2GB RAM 500GB HDD 10.6 using a 1TB Time Capsule, 2.4GHZ Macbook and 2G 16GB iPhone.
