Anyone else getting an iPhone tomorrow?

I've made my appointment tomorrow @ 6:45 in my local O2 store.

Looking at the registration process I don't know whether to buy one or two.

EDGE is still faster than GPRS, which is what a majority of phones in the UK still use to connect to the mobile web.

The BBC have posted news about the iPhone's release and quite an intelligent review of the device.

Well I've had it nearly 2 days and still not been able to activate it. Crying or Very sad

iTunes just keeps telling me, O2 are processing my application and the server is busy, please try again, remove the iPhone from the dock.

A colleague of mine has told me, his took 24 hours to sort out.

I'll give it till the end of today and if it still hasn't worked then, I'll be sending it back tomorrow.

Not very impressed as I can't transfer my number over as I'm on a business tariff with them, so to be honest, now I can't be bothered getting all the company literature changed.

Trying to activate it on my mini, before I box it back up this evening I will try it on a PC, just to make sure its nothing on the Mini stopping it.

STOP PRESS!

I know a woman who works in one of the the O2 stores in the MetroCenter, Gateshead, and she says that several of the main databases in the South have literally locked up because of the sheer volume of applications.

I don't know how you see this, but I see this as sales numbers higher than what O2 was prepared for.

I also had a go on her iPhone and I can honestly say that it is a spectacular piece of kit, however I do feel that it could be so much more than it is now. I'm going to wait until my current contract runs out, then review the situation, and then I may think about starting to save up for one.

Activated earlier this evening.

Couple of niggles thus far.

Number One, no SMS to multiple addresses, so having to send out my number, contact by contact Grr.

Input Touchpad is a little small for my fingers.

I'll see how I get on with it this week, not too keen on giving people my .mac email address as opposed to my work one, which comes through on my Blackberry, but we'll see how I get on.
