Well this topic would come up sooner or later.
Games That Do Not Function under Leopard.
1. Aliens vs Predator 2. (Gets to the Macplay screen then goes blank.)
2. Aliens vs Predator 1. (Gets past the fox logo then crashes.)
3. American Mcgee's Alice. (gets to loading then crashes due to open gl failure.)
Any one have any other issues. |

| Sim City 4 extreme lag even with the universal installer worked great under tiger have no idea why it isn't under leopard. |

SimCity 4 doesn't work properly under Leopard? NO! Its like one of my favorite games!
By the way, for anybody used to SimCity who is thinking about getting the new SimCity Societies as the next-gen up... DON'T.
Put bluntly, it is not a SimCity game in the City sense of it. Its just the Sims, but upgraded so that you can play in Neighbourhood view. I wouldn't be surprised to see it being twinned with the Sims in the future.
All this spells bad. I liked the old-style city building. It was REAL. This just seems, well, surreal and badly scraped together in an attempt to release a new SimCity game.
What needs doing is it needs to be renamed SimCity Locales or something, and then they can go and develop a real SimCity upgrade.
Roll on SC5, roll on.

American McGee's Allice (1.1.2 UB) runs quite fine on my Mini C2D 1.83, 2GB, 10.5.1 |

Io (available at apple.com/downloads) does not run under leopard on my new mini. In fact the game froze my machine and I had to hard boot to get out of it. Too bad because Io looks promising.

"Now"? It's been a Universal Binary since March 2007, almost a year.

Alien vs Predator 1 runs very well under rosetta in leopard. The game must be patched to 1.0.9

This list is out of date when this list was created mac os x leopard had only been out for a while.
New list:
American Mcgee's Alice: need registry file fix in order to function under 10.5.2
Alien vs predator 2: still no fix
Alien vs predator 1: game crashes says it cannot find file called annute.xlu
What ever that means?? |
