Are you happy with Leopard?

I'm quite happy with Leopard. I upgraded my macbook just recently when the hard drive in my macbook failed and I bought a new one. I got the family pack, which allowed my brother to upgrade his macbook too. We're both happy. By 10.5.5 (disk came with 10.5.4 but 10.5.5 was available on SW Update and I got it straight away) Apple sure had made it very stable. I'm glad I didn't get Leopard when it first came out and have problems with things not working properly.

I didn't get Leopard until I got it with my new Mini in November. It came with 10.5.4 and I immediately updated to 10.5.5 then 10.5.6, so I've waited a while before posting here.

Stacks can be displayed as folders and not the front doc in them. I have them set to show as 'List' and I like the automatic display of the contents of the folders in the list. I don't know if all the options are really useful. Stacks is jerky when opening folders.

The 3D dock doesn't exite me. It's still a dock, and as such it's a feature I've grown to like in OSX.

CoverFlow is a cool toy - maybe if I remember to use it more I will find it useful.

Spaces: I've already posted on that somewhere. There are 3rd party multiple desktop apps that are better - some are free, some cost a couple of bucks. Whatever - multiple desktops are indispensable.

I never used Exposé in 10.4, but until I can hook up a second montor for the Mini it's a workaround - of sorts.

Nothing much more I can say really. I thought I was going to get snappier finder functions, but I guess the gimmicks have swallowed up the extra computing power that came with the Mini compared with the G4.

Basically, I think the aesthetics and some of built-in gimmicks of the GUI use up too much valuable memory. When I get round to it, I'll hit the core files and try and get rid of some of them along with all the Chinese and non-Roman fonts I don't use (except of course Thai, Khmer, and Lao).
