| Leopard will be my first OS upgrade on a Mac. I just wondered what installation option some of you are going to use. |

I'm going to wipe and reinstall on my main machine simply because I haven't done that since 10.2 came out. My system is filled with a ton of stuff I don't use anymore, and would probably be a bit faster to just start over, and manually move the content and applications I do use on a regular basis.
On my secondary machines, I'll just be doing a standard upgrade. _________________ MacBook Pro 1.83GHz Core Duo, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, Dell 802.11n card, 1.4TB external

I'm going to leave this Mini running Tiger. I'm going to get the MacBook with Leopard on new in January. I don't really see the point in upgrading the OS on here, because I have the entire machine set up exactly the way I like it. The MacBook will be new anyways, so it'll be a great platform to intorduce me to leopard. _________________

I went ahead and did the archive and install. It was easy as pie. I don't know why I was so worried before. I guess all those years of being a Windows user shook my confidence. |

I guess I'm the one who had the "not so great experience" then
I installed it, went to okay but a bit sluggish for it to pick up my HDD then afterwards it was slow for a bit as well as some apps not working, which I can understand but iLife '08 was so glitchy and software update didn't work.
Okay, well I guess that was the worst of it, couple of hours later software update decided to be kind and I got a bunch of updates that went without a hitch, but it still seems a little glitchy here and there...
Anyone here experiencing this? Or am I the unlucky one?
I love Apple but I think this would put switchers off from buying a Mac for a while... _________________ - MacBook Pro, 15inch, 2.4GHz, 2GB, 160GB HDD, SuperDrive. I Love this Mac!!!!
