This product is way too cool for me to not own one. So I ordered one.
I went for the black 4GB model. I'll let folks know how it is once it shows up. I expect it might arrive next week while I'm, coincidentally, in Cupertino across the street from Apple.

I'm very tempted to order a black one. I really don't need another iPod, but man those are sweet. I bet orders will be pushed back two weeks by the time I make up my mind. Laughing

OMG, the Nano is the answer to my current iPod delimna.

Had a 20GB "regular" iPod but had problems with the drive locking up when it'd spin up while I was jogging, so I took it back and got a Shuffle.

I've loved my Shuffle for the past few months, but recently (like in the last two weeks) have gotten into podcasts and was really bummed to find that iTunes will not auto-sync new podcasts to a Shuffle when you dock it, and ... w/ podcasts, it really really helps to have a screen so you can see which date of a podcast you're listening to.

Just ordered the 2GB white Nano w/ overnight shipping (which was really easy to justify when compared to the gas it'd take for a 200+ mile roundtrip to my "local" Apple store). Smile

is very cool indeed, i never thought i could watch a conference over the web, but then you add apple, steve jobs, ipod nano, an ichat with madonna and it becomes far more interesting.

Is it surely only a matter of time until they have a 20gb version of nano? or is this wishful thinking?

I have older generation ipod and i was close to purchasing the new colour ipod, but now they keep making things smaller, i just wanna keep on waiting till something with a large amount of space comes out thats nano size.

Great product though with the nano. Im not a fan of the black colour though. White 'IS' the ipod, black takes away the ipods identity i feel, just a personal thing Very Happy

I am currently using one of the first 4gig ipod.... i bought it within a few days of ipods first coming out. I have recently found that it has a "retro" appeal as many people havent even seen the old "spinning wheel" ipods.

However, as cool as I think this is I think the Nano is a must buy for me... will stick my old ipod somewhere until it is worth something as an antique and flash my new nano about for a while!

All the pros of a Shuffle without all the cons as well as the pros of the iPod Color. Sounds good to me! I wish I didn't own a 1Gb Shuffle and 40Gb iPod, I can justify owning those two, but adding a Nano...Well, it would be black and I don't have a black one yet Laughing

My 4gb black iPod Nano has made it as far as Indianapolis, it entered the country by way of Alaska, as other Apple products often seem to do.

I'll certainly be away on business when it arrives, but at least I'll have my iPod Photo with me for my toonz.
