Remote Buddy 1.7.1 Features New Interface
Tuesday, October 9, 2007

IOSPIRIT has announced the release of Remote Buddy 1.7.1, a new version of its software that gives users full control over their Mac via remote control. New in version 1.7.1 is a completely redesigned configuration interface as well as an extended version of Remote Buddy's integrated AJAX Remote. The AJAX Remote allows the iPhone or iPod touch to be used as an interactive remote control. This is a pretty slick feature for you Mac mini HTPC enthusiasts out there. Also new is the AJAX Remote's camera module, which provides users with a live view of their iSight camera. Remote Buddy is priced at $28.

| Yeah, that iPhone and touch remote control functionality looks brilliant. I would love to give it a go with either device. |

The only thing that would make this app better would be HID support. If I could control my Mac mini with a 360 or even better a sixaxis controller, I could die a happy man.
My goal is to be able to use my Mac mini as a HTPC but also be able to play any emulated game without having to switch control schemes or have multiple remotes.
Remote Buddy is almost there... just this one feature is all I need. _________________ → craigerskine.com

The new version of Remote Buddy is awesome. I've been using it with my iPod touch for a couple of days now. I've also been playing around with the Signal demo. It also works quite well. You guys may want to give it a try. _________________ 14" 1.25GHz G4 iBook (died)

Remote buddy is completely worth the money considering all of the features and continued development. The free alternatives are nowhere close to the quality and ease of use as RB. _________________ → craigerskine.com
