What I think could be genuinely useful would be splitting the MMGG forum up into sub-folders (sub-forums?) the way that the Mac Mini Gear Guide is split on the 123MM homepage (e.g. Audio, Bags and Cases, Books, etc.).
In this way, it would be much easier for new members who post questions like "Will such-and-such a display work with my Mini?" or "What are the best external drives to buy?" to be directed to a 'display' sub-forum or an 'external drive' sub-forum where each thread is dedicated to a particular model, but where all models can be compared because they're conveniently grouped together into product categories. Within each thread, members with first hand experience of a particular product can leave honest reviews, tips, setup instructions, photos and other useful information.
As things stand, the chronological structure of the popular forums (recent first, oldest last) means that useful advice about products is being shuffled out of sight as time passes, and the search function is too blunt an instrument to separate product recommendations from 'steer-clear' warnings.
Of late, there have been a number of people who have spent hard-earned money on products, found them to be unsatisfactory or incompatible and posted messages expressing their disappointment only to be replied to with messages of "Oh yeah, I bought one of those and it sucked". Wouldn't it be nice if we could get the warnings out to people before they handed over their credit card? _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Thanks for the feedback JohnnyBoy. I'm not sure if we can do that with our mods and software, but I'll point it out to Charles. I know that we are going to refresh things in the accessories section soon. Maybe that would be a good time to shake things up. _________________ Brian

If your software isn't really suitable for what I have in mind, would a 123MacMini Wiki be more appropriate? _________________ Intel Mini 2.0GHz C2D (4GB/120GB/SuperDrive/10.5.8 ), 120GB WD Passport, Logitech ergo k/b

Maybe, but I'm not sure a Wiki is something that we want to throw in our database at this time. I'll still run it by past Charles when he gets back in town. _________________ Brian
