Okay, the European iPhone will probably come out tomorrow morning (GMT) and it'll probably be on the O2 provider...
Anyway shorten it down. I want a iPhone but i don't want to use it on O2, is it okay to unlock it? Will it brick it or void the warranty? Because i want to use pay as you go and i like Virgin Mobile

Once O2 realise how badly they've been screwed by Apple, they'll wish they hadn't "got the iPhone" either.

Well i've searched round and it looks like i could just go a buy a US iPhone (which is cheaper) and unlock it. I don't really mind if software updates overwrite hacks.
So would anyone here buy an unlocked iPhone?
