Does anyone have any experience using this device with garage band on a mini ? if so , I'd greatly appreciate any details or advice, good or bad. thanks

I've heard of it, but don't actually own one. What are you looking to do with it?

I'm hoping to record audio from a variety of sources, instrument and line levels, as well as incorporate midi tracks. Thanks for your reply Smile

I don't know much about the product. You're talking to GB hack. I use an Griffin iMic with DigiTech RP80 with my guitars and bass. Wish I could help out more! Not sure if you've read it, but I found a good review of the Spike.

are you using your mini for recording? i cant imagine using something that's usb for recording. i would imagine you running into latency issues if you're doing more than one or two line levels.

w/ a $400, why not opt for a firewire? firewire doesnt take up as much cpu as the usb.

sounds like the mackie spike is pretty powerful for a small thing.
