That's not a bad price. What brand is it? Is it like private label? _________________ 1.42GHz Mac-mini

Crucial has a coupon for 4% off for Macworld readers. I guess it will work for everyone.
Type: MWPROMO during checkout. |

As my brother in law lives in Indianapolis and I might visit the USA this summer, it might be an good idea, to buy the memory in the same city, where I plan to buy my Macmini.(can try it out, while I'm over there) I know BestBuy, CircuitCity, CompUSA and such, but which will probably have the best deal _________________ take care,

I recently purchased the PQI MD441GUOE 1GB ram from newegg.
Documented to work well with the Mac Mini and is currently selling for only $149! _________________ -=iMav=-

From their website:

We do not have a store or will call facility. All orders are placed on-line and shipped via FedEx, or in the case of military bases, via APO U.S. Postal Service, no exceptions. At this time, we have several warehouses in different locations that items ship from. We would not be able to service customers in person. |
I've been buying from them for several years now and have never had an issue. My online PC parts purchases have typically been split between NewEgg, MWave, and Krex. Krex sells x86 CPU's at cost (or at least they used to) and rely on the related sales to make a profilt. I like them more because they are in Illnois (and I'm in southern Wisconsin), so I typically get overnight delivery via UPS ground and don't pay sales tax. Wish Newegg would move to Illinois!! _________________ -=iMav=-

Hi,
I personnally went for a MAC tested RAM on www.macsale.com
I bought the 1GB RAM at $189 plus world-wide delivery for $21.
As the $ is pretty low compared to uk £ I had it for £114 total on my card. Much cheaper than the £220 1 GB upgrade from Apple...
I installed it on the Mac mini and it is working great.
Hope that helps. _________________ Mac Mini 1.58Ghz 1Gb & Sharp Laptop PC

I had my mini on the 21/01/05 so that's a little bit more than a month.
I use a Video7 19" LCD display. Quite cheap and good enough for me
No problem of dim VGA if that's what you're looking for.
I run iTunes almost all the time when the Mac is on and I am using iMovie with videos. I even tried a couple of small conversions with ffmpeg to try this h.264 thing and managed to get the fan running lol. No memory problem.
Actually, I read there is a tool to stress test the mac, which tool is it? Is it included in the OS X? I'd like to try out my configuration (my memory really..) _________________ Mac Mini 1.58Ghz 1Gb & Sharp Laptop PC
