Yesterday, I went down to the apple store in Soho NYC to see if I could purchase the *new* $699.00 maxed out mini. When I asked the sales person were there any in stock, he told me that they're stocked but there's no such thing as a $699.00 mini and tried to sell me the same configuration for $850.00 I told him to check the web site and he insisted that there was no such configuration. I pulled up the apple site in front of him....and low and behold...was the $699.00 mac mini. He apologized and started rambling, but I was so disappointed and disgusted, I bolted out of the store . I just expected an Apple store sales person to be more knowledgeable than that.

WOW...that's not Apple-ish at all compared to the Apple Stores/Apple Sections of COMPUSA, that I've been to, the people were very knowledgable and polite. Plus they didn't bug me after I told them I was just looking around. Don't you hate it when a salesmen just won't layoff, well, back on topic, I would've told the store manager or something. Jeeze, not knowing what model of computer they're selling. That would be like going to a Jeep dealership and the salesmen telling you there's no such thing as a Wrangler, it's unbelievably stupid of them. Sorry about that bud, I'd have gone nuts _________________ Gone. |

Sounds like someone just didnt get the memo about the new Mini. Maybe if you go back and get a different dude they'll be a bit more knowledgeable. I'd have still bought one after correcting the dude just to rub it in his face some more hehe _________________ Me with Woz!

Most of my encounters with mac sales people were pretty positive, so I'm not going to condemn the entire store and I will continue to shop there. A few hours later, I got a deal that I couldnt refuse on a dual 2.3 ghz G5 at another store which more than made up for it . |
