| I'm debating whether i want to continue waiting on the DX9 or buy a Firewire External Case. I notice most cases are fanless and just use aluminum to disapate the heat. I have this type for my Windows PC but that HD does not stay on long just when I need to grab a file. I'd most like be running my Mini's External Drive all the time I'm using my Mini so Heat worries me. Any enclosures you guys recommend Fanless or otherwise, and has anyone hear anything about the DX9 ? I have a 400GB Seagate IDE drive I need to enclose. |

| I ended up ordering the Mercury Elite from OWC for $68 it's not that much that if I wanted to get the DX if they ever release it, I still could. I understand from what I read these are pretty decent. I notice it's got Auto Switching what exactly will that do for me? |

Nice. I like the direct plug connectors. Is the fan really quiet? Between the drive and fan it has to be loud. |

E-mail received yesterday from Macpower: "M9-DX is under production now and probably will arrive US around August." |

| I plan on buying an M9 DX if they cost under $100. The only bad thing about them is that they're made outa plastic. Does anyone know what size drive will come in them or is it BYOHD? |

From what I read on the site, it sounds like it will definitely be BYOHD. _________________ -=iMav=-

| Now I'm told that Other World Computing will offer it soon. No info on configurations and pricing until an official announcement. |
