| I wouldn't mind seeing a totally new Mac mini or another mid-range headless Mac come out. I'm not really that interested in buying an iMac. I have a feeling there could also be something brewing with .Mac. I would love to see it go free with a new computer purchase or something. The current pricing is a little hard to swallow with all of the other great free services out there. |

Jobs implied changes to .Mac (Dot Mac) are coming, so I wouldnt be surprised about that since they're always adding more stuff to relate OSX to it. I'd sign up instantly if they had cheaper .Mac options. For $100 a year, I can get better web hosting than that.
Anyway, Mac Mini updates would be nice or some new headless model, whatever.
Definitely going to see iMac spec enhancements since Santa Rosa has been out for a while. |

Cheaper still implies that it costs something. What's wrong with it being free? |

| I would like to see Apple finally refresh the Cinema displays. How about LED screens, built-in iSight cameras and more adjustability Mr. Jobs? |

I've been wanting to see that since iSight was discontinued. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

I think we will see:
SR iMac
C2D Mac mini/Mac mini replacement (Mac nano )
Cinema display update/upgrade
What I want to see:
SR iMac
C2D Mac mini
iSight comeback
cheaper Cinema displays
cheaper .Mac or else improvements/levels ($50 for standard at $100 2GB or 4GB storage upgrade) _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

Is it only me, or does the speech desk looks a bit like 3 stacked Mac minis? |

I don't think Apple will introduce a new Mac mini and iMac at the same time. It will probably be one new system, iLife and iWork '08, and .Mac. Apple doesn't seem to want the Mac mini to cannibalize other Mac sales anyways. A new Mac mini would undoubtedly take a nice chunk out of iMac sales, which Apple likes to make higher margins on. I just know that I'll be wating for Leopard no matter what. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

| Soooooooooo... hold off on that Mac Mini purchase until after Tuesday? How soon after an announcement like this do they usually release the new models? |

It has varied in the past. This is pure speculation, but I think the products will ship immediately or within 1-2 weeks. It has been such a long time between updates, so they should be ready to go with whatever this stuff is. Of course, this means ordering and buying directly from Apple. It will take a little longer for the products to become available at other retail or online stores.
